Information we collect
Halation does not require an account and does not collect personal information on Halation-operated servers. The app does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
Photos, camera, and metadata
Camera
Halation requests camera access so you can preview recipes and capture photographs.
Photo import
When you choose to import a photo, Apple's system photo picker lets you select the item. Halation receives only the photo you select and the metadata supplied with it.
Save to Photos
When you choose to save an image to the Photos library, Halation requests add-only Photos access.
Photo metadata
Captures can include technical information such as date, lens, ISO, shutter speed, and device model. This information is stored locally and may be included in an export only when you choose the corresponding frame option.
Local storage
Photos, recipes, preferences, thumbnails, developed previews, and library archives are stored on your device in the app's container. You control exports and sharing.
Deleting the app may delete information stored only in its container. Save or share anything you want to keep before deletion.
In-app purchase
Halation Pro is processed by Apple. Apple provides the app with product and entitlement status needed to unlock purchased features. Halation does not receive your full payment-card details.
Apple's handling of purchase information is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Network access
The core camera, darkroom, recipe, and library features do not require a Halation account or Halation-operated cloud service.
The operating system may contact Apple for App Store purchases, purchase restoration, system services, or software updates.
Children
Halation is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data retention and deletion
Because Halation does not maintain user accounts or a remote user database, there is no server-side account data for us to delete.
You can remove local data by deleting individual photos or recipes in the app, clearing generated cache in Settings, or deleting the app. Shared exports must be deleted from the destination where you sent them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app's data practices change. The effective date above will be revised, and material changes will be described in release information or another appropriate notice.
