Halation for iPhone

Support

Quick answers for capture, development, recipes, purchases, and your local library.

Start with the most common fixes.

Halation works locally on your device. Most permission and purchase issues can be resolved from iPhone Settings or Halation's own Settings screen.

Why is the camera unavailable?
Open iPhone Settings, choose Privacy & Security, then Camera, and allow Halation. Return to Halation after changing the permission.
Why can't Halation save to Photos?
Open iPhone Settings, choose Privacy & Security, then Photos, then Halation. Allow adding photos. You can also keep captures only inside Halation's local library.
My Pro purchase is not showing. What should I do?
Open Halation, enter Library, open the menu, choose Settings, then Restore Purchases. Confirm the device is signed in with the Apple Account used for the purchase.
How do I keep a backup of my library?
Open Settings and choose Create Library Archive. Save or share the archive to Files or another location you control. The archive is created locally.
How do I import or share a recipe?
Open a .halation file or Halation link, or scan a recipe QR code from the Recipes screen. To share, open a recipe and choose its file, link, or QR option.
Does Halation upload my photographs?
No. Halation does not operate a photo cloud or account service. Photos and recipes leave your device only when you choose to export or share them.
What should I include in a bug report?
Include the Halation version, iPhone model, iOS version, the screen where the problem occurred, and the exact steps leading to it. Do not attach private photos unless they are necessary and you are comfortable sharing them.
